5 Chain Restaurants That Should Come To Ithaca
Ithaca has its Restaurant Row. It has plenty of variety when it comes to food from around the world. But what about those guilty pleasures? What about those places that we love for a quick bite to eat? Here are 5 ideas on restaurants we'd love to see in Ithaca:
1. Sonic
The company confirmed in late 2014 that it was offering "franchise development opportunities" in five locations in New York state, including Ithaca. That was after Sonic said it was opening eight new locations in the Albany area, and after the company has also jumped into the Syracuse market. The Sonic brand is known for the drive-up service, good fast food, and awesome desserts and drinks.
2. IHOP
Mmm, pancakes.
Ithaca has a Denny's now along Elmira Road, but with a lack of easy breakfast options in town, a little competition from the most well-known name in breakfast restaurants might not be a bad idea.
Plus, you know...PANCAKES!
3. Wawa
This one is only known to certain people, but Wawa is a destination nearly every morning, afternoon, night or some combination of all four, for people in the mid-Atlantic states, including Pennsylvania, our neighbor to the south.
Fresh-made sandwiches, all the wants you could have from a convenience store, and really good coffee. Let's get one in Ithaca!
For a lot of people, the Cheesecake Factory is simply a sign of big malls, big crowds and a loud night out.
But think about it. You've probably been to a Cheesecake Factory in your life. You've probably enjoyed the food. If you head to a mall area with one of the restaurant's locations, you probably think about it as one of your options.
Now, think about this - wouldn't Ithaca's mall be a lot busier with a Cheesecake Factory?
5. Popeye's
